Homaira Rahman School – What your contribution will support:
- Educational expenses including: Books, Supplies, Meals, Transportation, Teacher/Staff Salaries, School Uniforms
- The approximate expenditure per child will be $300 per year ($25 per month/$1 per day)
- The average annual cost to sustain the Homaira Rahman School (jointly funded & operated by HRF & OWA and costs evenly divided) is approx. $30,000 per year
HRF is not a government agency, or a for profit organization. Contributions to HRF, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are deductible for computing income taxes (Tax ID: 26-4836814).*
HRF takes every precaution to protect our donors’ information. When donors submit sensitive information via the Web site, your information is protected both online and offline. We use high grade encryption and security protocols to communicate with your browser software. This method is the industry standard security protocol, which makes it extremely difficult for anyone else to intercept the credit card information you send to us.
Companies we work with to process credit card transactions also use high grade encryption and security protocols. HRF employs error checking procedures to make certain transactions are processed completely and accurately. As necessary, changes are made to improve our systems. And, independent external and internal audits are conducted to ensure the privacy, security and appropriate processing of your information on our site.

* The Homaira Rahman Foundation (HRF) has received a ruling from the IRS that it qualifies as an organization described in Section 501(c)(3), gifts to which are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. The effective date of exemption is April 7, 2009, our date of incorporation. Any contributions since that date, and all future donations are now tax deductible.
